【閱讀】Tuesdays With Morrie, Mitch Albom
記得這本書是升高中那年暑假學校的指定讀物。重新拿出來看了一遍,發現裡面有7年前自己畫下來不會的單字跟喜歡的句子;7年後那個單字還是不會...(真沒長進囧)
This is the designated book recommend by English teachers from my high school. I pulled it out from my overloading bookcase and found some marks I had made 7 years ago when I was about to enter senior high school. What bothers me is that I still don't know the vocabularies I had underlined 7 years ago... what a shame...
摘錄了一些很喜歡的句子
Here are some quotes I like a lot
"The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning."
"Sometimes you cannot believe what you see, you have to believe what you feel. And if you are ever going to have other people trust you, you must feel that you can trust them, too - even when you are in the dark. Even when you are falling."
"A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. --- Henry Adams"
"Do the kinds of things that come from the heart. When you do, you won't be dissatisfied, you won't be envious, you won't be longing for somebody else's things. On the contrary, you'll be overwhelmed with what comes back."
"Here's what I mean by building your own little subculture, I don't mean you disregard every rule of your community. I didn't go around naked, for example. I don't run through red lights. The little things, I can obey. But the big things - how we think, what we value - those you must choose yourself. You can't let anyone - or any society - determine those for you."
